Foxy Fitness Resolutions

Foxy Fitness Resolutions

Like many people I find myself making the same resolution every time a new year rolls around;

"I am going to get fit...no really, this is the year I do this!"

Losing weight and getting fit are two of the most common resolutions made every year, yet only about 8%  of people are actually successful in achieving their resolutions.

So if this is your resolution also I have found some tips to help us follow through this year

Create a Plan

How can your reach your goal if you don't know exactly what it is?  Decide what your goal is and make it a reasonable one! If you start off with a goal that is humanly impossible to achieve your are only setting yourself up for failure.

Plan you workouts, plan your meals, plan your water intake! Plan! Plan! Plan! Write it all down if you need to, keeping a journal can help with achieving goals.

Track your progress

This is where keeping that journal would come in handy. Make a note of your starting point, weight, measurements, whatever it is you wan to focus on! Stick to your plan and then track your progress on a weekly biases.

Find a Workout Buddy

Whether it be a gal pal or the cute guy you've been eyeing at the gym having someone to motivate you (or someone to complain with) while you do your sit-ups can be very helpful! If you set dates to workout with someone when you know there is someone is waiting on you you are much more likely to actually go and work out.

Eat Right

Working out isn't  the only thing there is to the whole getting fit thing, the diet portion is very important! You are what you eat right? (hmm if this is true then I am part Oreo...)

So again the journal and planning  will be helpful. Plan out your healthy means and snacks and write down what it is you actually consume. I find it much easier to stick to eating healthy when I write down my meals . Keeping a food diary instantly increases your awareness of what, how much, and why you are eating. This helps you cut down on mindless munching.

Make it Fun

Find a work out that you like and go with that, there are so many options for work out plans now that you are sure to find something that works for you. Zumba, Yoga, Crossfit, Running, Richard Simmons- "Disco Sweat"

Reward Yourself

As you track your progress and reach small goals it is important to reward yourself for your progress and hard work.

Rewards can come in many variations, it could be a "cheat day" or new pair of running shoes or cute new gym clothes.

Accessorize and Plan your Outfits

I don't know about you but nothing motivates me to work out more than new sneakers or new work out shorts! So go splurge on a few things that help and motivate your to get moving.  And what do I mean by accessories? No, not jewelry to go with the cute out  fit... I mean a trust waist cincher of course!

Check out this Fitness Waist Cincher that comes in fun colors. Itsgreat for  the gym and other fitness activities.
