The non-adjustable thong strap is very inconvenient and almost the basis for a return (since i have no tailoring/hemming skills). However, the real trick to this girdle is in the design of the leg bands. As another reviewer mentioned, you do have to lean forward and lift your cheeks a bit ( similar to facilitating the cleavage effect in a bra), and it accomplishes the lift effect.
This product does what is advertised. I have to shorten the strap. It would be nice if the strap was adjustable.

I am glad that I read the reviews before making my purchase because it does seem to run a little big, which is why I ordered a medium. It provides great tummy control and a lift for my bottom, but if you are wearing thin or tight clothing, you can tell that you have something on. It almost looked as though I had a booty pad on with certain outfits. I cannot wear it with any of my dresses or with leggins. So I guess I will just have to wear it with jeans. So over all it is ok.
very disappointed, i should have take a smaller size, but you can tell the difference.
This garment is like a bra for the butt. I would give it 5 stars -- but I had to cut down the back strap to make it work better. The strap should be adjustable. Like a bra, you must bend over and arrange your butt to get the best results. I plan to order more of this item.
I really do like this product but I wish I would of got a Medium instead of an large because after at least 2 hours it loosing up and it didn't fit as tight and I lost the lift. So buy a smaller size for this product.
It was worth the money. I loved the way it brought out my natural curves. I removed about an inch of the strap an reattach. I was going to order 2 more pairs but they weren't in black so I guess I will try again later.
